1) The Pursuit of Ruins: Archaeology, History, and the Making of Modern Mexico by Christina Bueno (2016)
A local Evanston author who spent more than 15 years doing research on Mexican anthropology and the creation of the Mexican Museum of Anthropology, one of the best in the world. The book is very interesting and informative about the complexities of Mexico.
2) Zen Mind, Beginner’s Mind by Shunryu Suzuki (1970)
A masterpiece on meditation and living a good life and being thankful for all we have, always!
3) Harvest of Empire by Juan Gonzalez (2000)
A very deep history of why Latinos are in the United States. There is a movie about it as well.
4) Smarter Faster Better: The Secrets of Being Productive in Life and Business by Charles Duhigg (2016)
A very good book about what makes businesses better. Great common knowledge.
5) The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg (2012)
A very interesting book, but I did not finish it yet. 🙂
